KABUL (SW) – At least 505 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected by the health ministry in the past 24 hours, said an official statement.
The Ministry of Public Health announced that 2,559 patients suspected of having COVID-19 were tested in this period. According to the ministry, 10 patients died in the country during this period and 505 new positive cases were identified.
The new cases have been registered in 25 provinces. Meanwhile, 158 patients who had previously contracted the virus recovered.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, 440,167 people have been tested across the country since the pandemic gripped Afghanistan. Of these, 65,080 people were found to be infected with the virus and 2,782 people have lost their lives due to the virus.
Similarly, 55,687 people have recovered after initially contracting the virus.
