JALALABAD (SW) – A landmine blast in Jalalabad, capital of Nangarhar province, on Wednesday killed two people and injured 18 other.
Sources told Salam Watandar the incident took place near the Laghman taxi stand in the early morning when a police patrol vehicle was passing by. It is said the landmine was hidden in a part of the footpath.
Among the 18 injured, the state of four is said to be critical. Most of the injured people are roadside vegetable vendors.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
