Saleh announces to retire from charring 06:30 meetings

KABUL (SW) –First Vice President Amrullah Saleh has announced to no more chair his hallmark early morning meeting on governance and security affairs in Kabul.

Recalling the achievements of more than 120 daily meetings at 06:30 am, Saleh said in a social media post that he is gradually withdrawing from it as the team was now on a sustainable path to carry on. “An efficient management style and system is taking shape now, and I’m trying that they get there soon without my presence,” he wrote.

Saleh claimed scores of small and major plans have been taken into consideration at these meetings. He asserted the chain and gangs of criminals involved in extortion have been busted and the honor and pride of security forces rejuvenated. Among other achievements, Saleh also mentioned the allotment of land for the families of the victims of the security forces. He said about 12,000 families of martyrs and disabled or their relatives would get residential plots next month.

Amrullah Saleh appreciated the attention and support of the Office of the President.

According to Saleh, the detainees who are members of Daesh are illiterate and do not understand the meaning of the word Daesh, and are part of the terrorists’ ring involved in the bombings in Kabul.
