Three blasts in Kabul kill three people

 

KABUL (SW) – Amid string of explosions, at least three people lost their lives in Kabul on Saturday.

The city on Saturday witnessed three explosions in less than two hours. According to the police command, two civilians and a policeman were killed and five others were injured in the blasts.

The first explosion took place at around 9:14 a.m. at the Bagh-e-Qaazi Street. Initial reports suggested that six people, including three Hindu citizens, were injured in the blast.

As people gathered, a second blast ripped through the crowd killing two people, including a Hindu citizen. The two blasts, which occurred minutes apart, also injured five civilians, including a Hindu citizen.

The third blast occurred at around 10:41 a.m. that was aimed at a police vehicle in Khair Khana area. One policeman was killed in the blast, according to Kabul police.

Such targeted assassinations and attacks have increased in recent months, especially in the last two months in the capital.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for Saturday’s blasts in Kabul.
