Back-to-back blasts kill 5 people in Kabul

KABUL (SW) – At least five people lost their lives and two others got wounded to bomb blasts, the Kabul Police Command confirmed on Saturday.

Ferdaus Faramarz, a spokesman for the Kabul Police Command, said that in the first explosion, which took place at around 8:00 am today on Daralaman Street in the sixth district of Kabul, a Corolla car was hit by a mine. According to the spokesman for the Kabul Police Command, two people were injured in the blast.

According to Faramarz, in the second explosion that took place at around 8:15 in Karte Parwan area, in the fourth district of Kabul city, another Corolla vehicle was targeted by a mine. He added that three people, including a woman, were killed in the blast.

A third bomb struck in the Wahdat bridge area of ​​Kabul’s third police district at around 10:20 a.m. today, Faramarz said. According to him, two people were killed as a result of this explosion.

Police officials have not yet commented on the nature of the blasts, saying they are under investigation by a joint security team.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for today’s blasts in Kabul. The government has always blamed the Taliban for such attacks and bombings, but the Taliban have always denied involvement in the bombings.
