UN Security Council to hold meeting on Afghanistan’s situation

MONITORING (SW) – The United Nations Security Council will convene on Monday, March 10, to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) shared on X that its head, Roza Otunbayeva, will provide an update on the country’s situation during the meeting.

The session is scheduled for 11:30 PM Kabul time.

Additionally, the UN Security Council will hold another meeting on March 17, to potentially extend UNAMA’s mandate.
