KABUL (SW) – Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the de-facto government of the Islamic Emirate, has stated the attack on Chinese nationals in Pakistan has nothing to do with Afghanistan.
In response to recent statements by the Pakistan Army, Mujahid told the national Radio-Television Afghanistan on Saturday that Islamabad must solve its own security weaknesses. He added that many efforts have been made by the Islamic Emirate to improve relations with Pakistan.
The Islamic Emirate’s spokesperson has emphasized that the continuation of such accusations by Pakistan will “damage” the bilateral relations.
Last Sunday, the Minister of Interior Affairs of Pakistan, Mohsin Reza Naqvi, asked the Islamic Emirate to arrest the members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and hand them over to Islamabad due to the alleged role of this group in the recent insecurity in this country, especially the killing of five Chinese engineers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
In March of 2024, six people, including five Chinese citizens, were killed following a car bomb attack in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
