Paktika granted development projects worth AFN 114 million

SHARANA (SW) – The local officials of Paktika say that dozens of development projects worth 114 million afghanis have been started in two districts of this province.

The press officer of Paktika rural reconstruction and development department, Shafi Hamat, told Salam Watandar that these projects will be implemented in Orgun and Yusufkhelo districts of the province.

According to him, among these projects, 55 projects are implemented in Orgon and 36 in Yusufkhelo districts.

Third level roads and canals are being built under the implemented projects, which are being carried forward with the help of village councils through the program of giving people cash for work.

Officials also added that with the start of these projects, 4,805 people in Orgun district and 2,281 people in Yusefkhelo district will be provided with jobs.

At the same time, each worker will be paid 12,600 afghanis for 28 working days.
