KANDAHAR (SW) – A road accident on the Kandahar – Kabul highway has claimed at least nine lives, confirmed officials.
Local authorities in Zabul confirm that nine people died and 31 were injured as a result of a traffic incident in this province.
This accident took place in the morning in the “Polsangi” area, near the city of Qalat, the center of Zabul.
Rahmatullah Hamad Niazi, the head of information and culture department in Zabul, told Salam Watandar that this incident occurred as a result of a collision between a passenger bus and a goods carrier.
The head of information and culture department in Zabul added that the injured have been taken to the provincial hospital for treatment.
It should be mentioned that 24 people died as a result of a vehicle overturning in Sar-e-Pol province on Wednesday.
