FAIZABAD (SW) – A young man in Badakhshan has built a recreation park in the third district of Faizabad city, the capital of this province, with the cost of 200,000 afghanis from his own pocket.

Abdul Wajid Fazil, the owner of “Almas Entertainment Spot”, told Salam Watandar that this entertainment center was built on an area of more than one acre of land with separate spaces for men and women.

Abdul Ghafoor Sirat, the mayor of Faizabad, has said that the residents of this city needed green spaces and recreational places. He said the government plans for the expansion of green spaces, and will take practical measures in this field in the near future.

It should be noted that the lack of recreational facilities in Badakhshan is one of the challenges and its residents have repeatedly demanded the creation of such recreational facilities.
