HERAT CITY ( SW) – A five-day exhibition under the name “Glory of Eid” has opened in Herat for the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Officials have said that the “Eid Glory” exhibition has been launched for women and particularly for the economic growth of business women.
Adiba Vaziri, the head of the women’s chambers of commerce and industry in the western region, said on the occasion that in the coming times, they are considering several plans for the growth of women’s business and economy.
In this exhibition, about 60 booths are dedicated to business women who have displayed their products and handicrafts.
Forozan Nikfarjam, a lady who displayed her products at the exhibition, said: “It’s great because people are not aware about many things, but when there is an exhibition, people come and see. We also wish that it will work out and the people will buy.”
Hasiba, another businesswoman, said that this exhibition can be effective for the economy and women’s business.
Visitors at the fair say that they attended the exhibition to support business women.
Sharifa, a visitor, said: “It is good to come and see their products sometimes to see and encourage women. I urge all women to come and shop.”
It should be mentioned that this is the 16th women’s handicraft exhibition held in Herat for nearly two years. The purpose of holding these exhibitions is to promote economic growth of women.
