MONITORING (SW) – In the tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of China, Pakistan and Afghanistan, which was held in Islamabad on Saturday, China and Pakistan promised to cooperate with the Islamic Emirate in the economic sector.

In this meeting, it has been emphasized to remove the security concerns of China and Pakistan from the territory of Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in this meeting that in order to achieve social and economic development as well as regional prosperity and connectivity, peace and stability in Afghanistan is essential. According to him, Pakistan and its other partners are working together for the peace, prosperity and unity in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Minister Chin Gang also said that his country supports Afghanistan in economic reconstruction. Mr. Gang added that the Islamic Emirate should adopt moderate policies and maintain friendly relations with neighboring countries by establishing an inclusive government.

This tripartite meeting was held at the initiative and hosted by Pakistan, and Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, was invited to this meeting as a representative of the acting government.

MMr.Muttaqi’s visit to Islamabad comes as Pakistan has asked the United Nations Security Council Sanctions Monitoring Committee to lift the ban on his travel to participate in this meeting.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Akram Arefi, professor of international relations, told Salam Watandar that China and Pakistan are more interested in economic exploitation of Afghanistan. “There are some projects in which China is interested and Pakistan is a beneficiary. They want to take these projects in Afghanistan and implement them with the consent of the Islamic Emirate.”

Habibullah Jafari, a researcher of international issues, said that all regional and extra-regional countries are looking for national interests and security in their borders. According to him, Pakistan is trying to curb the Pakistani Taliban in interaction with the Islamic Emirate, and China, which is worried about the activities of ISIS, is trying to neutralize the threats in its northern and northeastern regions by interacting with the Islamic Emirate.

On the other hand, Bilal Karimi, one of the deputy spokespersons of the Islamic Emirate, has said that the tripartite meeting of the foreign ministers of Pakistan, China and the Islamic EEmirateof Afghanistan shows the dynamics of the caretaker government’s diplomacy and the realities of Afghanistan are reflected in this meeting.

He aadded: “Islamic Emirate shared the objective realities of the country, as well as its position and its claim, with the wishes of the Afghan people. Regional stability is an important element in solving problems.”

This is despite the fact that not long ago, the meeting of foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in India, and in it, the formation of a comprehensive government in Afghanistan and the fight against terrorism were emphasized as the collective desire of the participants.
