KABUL (SW) – A number of opposing political figures of the Islamic Emirate have gathered for the second time in Vienna, Austria, to discuss and talk about Afghanistan’s domestic issues and strengthening trust among the participants of this meeting.

According to reports, up to 30 leaders of the previous government, political activists, diplomats and politicians are participating in this meeting organized by an Austrian research institute.

At the same time, political analysts say that the meeting of former Afghan politicians in the Austrian city of Vienna will not have any impact on the current situation in Afghanistan and the participants of the said meeting have also called it a ‘failure.’

Muhammad Salim Paigir, a researcher of political issues, said that any meetings held at the request of foreigners related to Afghanistan cannot have any effect on the situation of Afghans. “Such meetings cannot affect the issue of Afghanistan, neither in the past, nor in the present, nor in the future. The meetings that are held in foreign countries, the participants are failed faces and do not focus on the issues of Afghanistan, and the western society wants to keep them busy, neither the neighbors nor the international community listens to them.”

At the same time, another political researcher Sayed Zia Hussaini, by calling such meetings a ‘failure’, emphasized the coordination of international and influential countries in relation to the issues related to Afghanistan and says that if such a meeting can be organized, the entire international community should be informed about the situation in Afghanistan.

“There are two things, 30 participating in this meeting can not convince and influence the international community and the countries they want to coordinate with, but nothing like that has happened yet. Their aim is to create trust among political figures outside of Afghanistan and how much this will affect the Islamic Emirate is not a matter of consideration. It is necessary that they first reach a political consensus among themselves and talk to the Islamic Emirate.”

Political affairs researcher Tariq Farhadi said that if the whole world supports this meeting, its positive effects will be many. He said: “Any meetings held outside Afghanistan, if the international community creates facilities for them, their confidence will increase.”

Despite many efforts, we could not get the opinion of the officials of the Islamic Emirate on this report, but they had previously said that such meetings are not of concern to them.
