KABUL (SW) – With the arrival of winter in the country, the lack of electricity in Kabul has increased the problems of the residents of the capital city grappling with so many other hardships.

Merajuddin, a resident of Kabul city, told Salam Watandar the residents do not have electricity from 4:00 in the evening to 10:00 at night and the lack of electricity has become a serious problem for them.

“Electricity is not available when we need it. People need electricity the most from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, but after 10 pm when citizens are sleeping, electricity comes. We ask the officials of the Islamic Emirate to pay attention in this regard”

Wasim Ahmad, one of the businessmen of Kabul city, said that the lack of electricity has damaged business and traders have to turn on the generator from the beginning of the morning until the evening to provide the electricity they need.

“We turn on the generator from the beginning of the morning until the evening, and it turns on again at seven in the evening. We want the Islamic Emirate to take care of this problem of the people.”

This is despite the fact that in previous years, at this time of the year, citizens complained about the increase in electricity costs and accused the electricity supply company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat of insufficient work.

Faiz Mohammad, another resident of Kabul city, said that the lack of electricity has made people face many problems.

“There is no electricity and we are in trouble and we are wandering to print a sheet. We ask the Islamic Emirate to address the problem of people’s lack of electricity.”

Breshna, however, considers the reason for the interruption of electricity supply in Kabul to be a technical problem in imported electricity from Uzbekistan and says that efforts are underway to solve this problem.
