KABUL (SW) – Children in Afghanistan are faced with a grim threat of severe weight loss, the United Nations Children’s Fund has warned.
The UNICEF stated in a series of tweets that 875,000 children in Afghanistan will suffer from extreme weight loss in 2023.
UNICEF said that hunger has taken the greatest toll on children in Afghanistan.
The United Nations Children’s Fund has added that it needs urgent support to help treat this number of children.
This is despite the fact that according to UNICEF’s appeal, which began on Monday of this week, Afghanistan is at the top of the needy countries in the world, and 1.65 billion dollars are needed to help the needy children of this country.
