KABUL (SW) – The Amnesty International has said that the media reports about the expulsion of girls from the dormitory of Kabul University are very worrying.
A while back, the officials of Kabul University expelled a number of female students from the university and the dormitory of this university.
Amnesty International noted on Wednesday that in an environment where women are facing an onslaught of restrictions, the expulsion of female students from the dormitory of Kabul University is worrying.
It added that women should have free access to education.
Following the expulsion of female students from Kabul University, a number of women held a protest meeting in front of the gate of this university and asked the Islamic Emirate to provide the ground for the return of these students to their classes.
The protestors carried banners and chanted the slogans.
The protesters said that the Islamic Emirate has expelled a number of female students from Kabul University without any legal reason.
Two of the expelled students from Kabul University, on the condition of not revealing their identity, told Salam Watandar that this approach of the Islamic Emirate made them worried about their future.
One of these students, who was among the students who were expelled from the dormitory of Kabul University, said that the authorities have not yet provided a satisfactory reason to expel them from the university and dormitory.
Similarly, another student of Kabul University, who was kicked out of the university for not wearing the black hijab, criticized the decision of the university authorities and requested its review.
