Top Islamic Emirate leader appears at Loya Jirga tent in Kabul

KABUL (SW) – The top leaders of the Islamic Emirate has attended the ongoing grand consultative session of the religious scholars in Kabul’s Loya Jirga tent.

The head of the Islamic Emirate, Maulvi Hibatullah Akhundzada, attended a gathering of religious scholars in the Loya Jirga tenton Friday.

He entered the hall during the speech by the Acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani.

Meanwhile, Bilal Karimi, Deputy Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, confirmed that Maulvi Hibatullah Akhundzada, the head of the Islamic Emirate, had entered the Loya Jirga tent a few minutes ago and was now present in the Loya Jirga’s.

A day earlier, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, presented information about the first day of this three-day gathering in a press conference last evening. He said that it was possible that the leader of the Islamic Emirate Mawlawi Hebatullah Akhundzada will also participate in the continuation of the large gathering of Afghan scholars.

Mohammad Hassan Akhund, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate, told the participants of the meeting that they can present their views on various issues. However, our question was not answered as to how many critical views of the functioning of the Islamic Emirate government were presented on the first day.

Zabihullah Mujahid emphasized in a press conference that the views presented in this meeting will be reviewed and approved by the government.

“In this meeting, scholars can present their opinions and these suggestions will be investigated and they will be implemented as much as possible.”

He added at least 3,500 people from all over Afghanistan have participated in this gathering, and all the participants are religious scholars and tribal leaders.

In this gathering, there was no presence of representatives of other walks of life such as civil society activists, politicians and women.

It is expected that millions of afghanis will be spent in this gathering.

Zabihullah Mujahid said that all these costs will be paid by the caretaker government of the Islamic Emirate and in this regard, extravagance will be avoided.
