KABUL (SW) – The meteorological department has warned that 13 provinces of the country will witness relatively heavy rainfall with lightning, flash floods and strong winds.
This department announced on Sunday by broadcasting a newsletter that the provinces of Badakhshan, Kunar, Nuristan, Laghman, Nangarhar, Kabul, Logar, Paktia, Khost, Paktika, Ghazni, Kandahar and Zabul will witness flash floods.
The amount of rainfall predicted is from 10 to 35 mm.
The department has also warned of strong winds in Balkh, Herat, Farah, Nimroz and Badghis provinces. According to this department, the speed of the strong winds, which are accompanied by dust, will be between 20 and 90 kilometers per hour.
