Kabul rocked by blasts, gunfire

KABUL (SW) – Back-to-back blasts rocked the Afghan capital Kabul’s diplomatic enclave on Tuesday morning, eye-witnesses confirmed on Tuesday.

Confirming the blasts, Bilal Karimi, the deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, said that the first blast took place near the gate of Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan Hospital in Kabul. According to the deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, a second explosion also took place near the hospital.

The blasts occurred in the afternoon today.

Karimi added that their investigations are underway to determine the nature of the explosions. According to him, these explosions result in casualties.

Reuters reported that 15 people got killed and 34 others got injured in this attack.

It is said that after the explosions, the sound of gunfire was heard in this hospital. Further details on the nature of the blasts are not yet available.

No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the blasts.
