JALALABAD (SW) – At least 20 people got killed in two road accidents on the main Kabul – Jalalabad highway in Laghman province, confirmed officials on Saturday.

Asadullah Dawlatzai, spokesman for the Laghman governor, told Salam Watandar that in the first incident that took place last night in the Naranj Bagh area of ​​the Qargha district of the province, a mini-bus collided with a car, killing 8 people and injuring 10 others.

The spokesman for the governor of Laghman added that another traffic accident took place this morning in the “Aziz Khan Ko” area and on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway, as a result of which 12 people were killed and 8 others were injured.

He said that a number of the injured were taken to the public hospitals in Laghman and Nangarhar.
