KABUL (SW) – The US has announced a reward of $5 million for information regarding the American citizen Cydney Mizell who went missing in Kandahar in January 26, 2008.
According to the US Reward for Justice Program, anyone in all 34 provinces of Afghanistan can access the RFJ through local numbers and its social media pages.
Anyone with information on this kidnapping can text RFJ via Whatsapp, Telegram, or Signal at +1 202 702 7843. Individuals may also submit information to the U.S. Embassy Kabul Regional Security Officer by telephone at +93 070 010 8600 Ext. 8600.
According to the US officials, Cydney Mizell was kidnapped in Kandahar when she was returning home after a field work where she was teaching English in the university and also working in a number of development projects. At the time of his kidnapping, she was residing in Kandahar and was fluently speaking Pashto.
Some reports suggest she might be killed as there have been no contacts for ransom money or any other claims.
The RJP has promised to keep the identity of the information provider confidential.
