FAIZABAD (SW) – A road accident in Badakhshan province has killed at least six people, officials confirmed on Sunda
Noor Aqa Naderi, governor of Baharak district said a passenger car fell in the Kokcha River on the main Baharak – Faizabad highway. He said five members of a family and the taxi driver lost their lives in this accident. The car was carrying these people from Jurm district to the provincial capital Faizabad.
The district governor said four dead bodies have been recovered and efforts were underway to find the other two. Three women are among the victims, he said.
Local officials have blamed the faulty road for the accident.
