The dire plight of peddlers in Kabul’s Deh-Afghanan area, asking for support

KABUL (SW) – In the Deh-Afghanan area of Kabul city, a growing number of residents and street vendors are facing a dire plight due to unemployment. Over the past two years, a significant portion of the population has become jobless, leading many to take to the streets in search of livelihoods, resorting to peddling as a means to survive.

The focus of these high-level talks was the deliberation on the next steps for implementing the recent United Nations Security Council resolution on Afghanistan.

Muttaqi and Qomi stress upon establishing regional contact group

KABUL (SW) – Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s Ambassador and Special Representative for Afghanistan, has had another meeting with Amir-Khan Muttaqi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the de-facto government, to discuss the establishment of a regional contact group on Afghanistan, stated the Embassy of Iran in Kabul.

Da Afghanistan Bank to auction $14 million

KABUL (SW) – The Da Afghanistan Bank/Afghanistan Central Bank has announced that in order to maintain and stabilize the value of the Afghani currency, it will auction 14 million US dollars on Saturday, January 13.
