Qala-e Zal residents in Kunduz demand for enhanced health services

KUNDUZ (SW) – A number of residents of the Qala-e Zal district of Kunduz province say that the hospital in this district has a capacity of 10 beds, which is not enough for the patients. They complain about the lack of standard equipment in the Qala-e-Zal district hospital and say that for years, they have been transferring most of their patients to the Kunduz center for treatment.

US blocks ceasefire call with third UN veto in Israel-Hamas war

MONITORING (SW) – The United States on Tuesday again vetoed a draft United Nations Security Council resolution on the Israel-Hamas war, blocking a demand for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire as it instead pushes the 15-member body to call for a temporary ceasefire linked to the release of hostages held by Hamas.

Grow beard from now onward, justice ministry advises journalists

KABUL (SW) – Mohammad Hashem Shahid Waror, the Head of Afghanistan’s Invitation and Guidance Directorate of the Ministry of Justice, has advised journalists to grow beards. He stated on Tuesday, in a one-day reform and training seminar held for missionaries by the Ministry of Education in Kabul.
