Gaza war: Israel loses 24 soldiers in worst single-day loss

MONITORING (SW) – Twenty-four Israeli soldiers were killed in Israel’s worst day of losses in Gaza, the military said on Tuesday while also claiming to have encircled southern Gaza’s main city and killed dozens of Palestinian fighters in a major ground assault of the new year.

An independent agency to be established for regulating state-owned companies

KABUL (SW) – Abdul-Ghani Baradar, Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of Afghanistan, revealed in a press conference Sunday that a new independent department is set to be established to oversee state-owned companies, in accordance with a decree from Hebatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the de-facto government of Afghanistan.
