KABUL (SW) – Analysts believe that Pakistan is to seeking gains from world powers by levelling allegations against Afghanistan about cross-border terrorism.
Javed Momand, an expert on political issues, told Salam Watandar: “This is an excuse that Pakistan is acting as a “commission worker” for money, and Pakistan is a commission worker in the region, and it does this to earn a lot of money (from world powers).”
Pakistani official sources told “Express Tribune” that the main reason for the current tensions between Pakistan and the Islamic Emirate is Afghanistan’s failure to act against the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Anwar Haq Kakar, the Prime Minister of the Interim Government of Pakistan, said in a conversation with Voice of America, in response to the question whether Pakistan will take military action in Afghanistan if needed, that Pakistan will take action at a certain time and the military will intervene.
Anwar Haq Kakar added: “Pakistan has the right to defend itself. We will certainly do whatever is necessary to protect our country and our people. I will not go into the details of what kind of operation it will be, but when the time comes, we will decide what we will do; what should be done and what can be done.”
Abdul Qadir Qant, another expert on political issues, says that Pakistan does not have the ability to launch a military attack on Afghanistan. He added: “Pakistan warns if its interests are not secured in Afghanistan, and I think it is a threat and Pakistan can never do this.”
However, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, being unaware of the statements of the Prime Minister of the interim government of Pakistan, without naming Pakistan, said that the Islamic Emirate will respond to it in case of military action on Afghan soil.
He added: “I have not heard the news that the Prime Minister of Pakistan has said (such a thing), but in case of military action on Afghan soil, the Islamic Emirate will respond to protect it, and our advice to Pakistan is to resolve its issues inside that country and refrain from making unnecessary accusations.”
