14 lives lost in Kabul Military Airport attack

KABUL (SW) – A source from the Islamic Emirate has told Al Jazeera that 14 people were killed and 18 others were injured as a result of the explosion at the outer gates of the Kabul military airport.

Abdul Nafi Takour, the spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, has said that the explosion took place on Sunday morning, in the outskirts of the Kabul military airport. It is said that this explosion was a suicide attack.

According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, as a result of this explosion, a number of citizens were killed and injured. But Mr. Takur did not say anything about the exact number of dead and wounded.

No person or group has yet claimed responsibility for this explosion.
