Mutakki meets foreign minister of Uzbekistan

KABUL (SW) – Amir Khan Mutakki, foreign minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has met with the foreign minister of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov in Tashkent.

In this meeting, Amir Khan Muttaki assured the Uzbek side about the creation of opportunities for secure security and investment in Afghanistan and said that the territory of Afghanistan will not be used against anyone, said the foreign ministry.

At the same time, the two sides also discussed the railway project between Afghanistan-Pakistan and Uzbekistan in addition to a series of projects and insisted on the completion of this project.

Amir Khan Muttaki said in this visit that Afghanistan is fully prepared for the implementation of the said project and according to him, progress has been made in the talks with the related countries in this regard.

At the same time, the acting head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan welcomed the recent developments in the field of security in Afghanistan. He also called a series of economic projects important for Afghanistan, according to which, their implementation will lead to the economic growth of the country, read the statement.
