Sticky bomb blast claims 5 lives in Kabul

KABUL (SW) – At least five people, including three doctors of Pul-e-Charkhi Central Prison, were killed as a result of a magnetic bomb explosion in Kabul, officials confirmed.

Ferdows Faramarz, a spokesman for the Kabul Police Command, said the incident took place at around 7:30 a.m. today in the Dogh Abad area. Two people were injured in the incident, he said.

No individual or group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.

Two days ago, at least eight people got killed and 15 others got wounded following a blast in the fifth police district in Kabul. The interior ministry said in a statement that the blast was caused by a magnetic bomb aimed at Khan Mohammad Wardak, a member of the Wolesi Jirga (lower house).
