
KABUL (SW) – The Wolesi Jirga (lower house) has vehemently condemned the Monday evening truck bombing in capital Kabul that killed at least four people and left more than 100 injured.
Taking part in the general debate on this incident, the MPs said civilians have sustained heavy losses in this heinous attack, and the government should take measures for compensation.
Speaker of the house, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, demanded the government to swiftly relocate military installations and foreigners’’ guest houses from civilian areas of the city.
An MP, Ghulam Farooq Majroh, highlighted this is not the first time such an incident has taken place in the 9th police district inflicting heavy losses upon civilians. He also called for the relocation pg military installations and foreigners’ guest houses from civilian areas to safer places.
There have been identical attacks on similar locations in Kabul’s Shahr-e-Nau, Qulola Pushta, Karta – 3 and other areas in the past claiming the lives of many civilians besides inflicting heavy financial toll.
