KABUL (SW): A government source who did not wish to be named has said that the US Secretary of State John Kerry would visit Kabul next week to attend the Afghan-US Security Agreement Session.
In this session, achievements and issues surrounding the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) between the US and Afghanistan would be discussed to find out how effective the agreement has been over the past year.
The source told Salam Watandar that in the session, the three committees, which were tasked in good governance, human rights and security, will present their findings to John Kerry and to the leaders of the Government of National Unity.
The source added that based on the BSA, every year there will be a session between the two country’s foreign ministries. The source further said that John Kerry was set to visit Kabul a few months ago but due to security reasons his visit was postponed.
