KABUL (SW) – Mohammad Umer Daudzai, chief organizer of the ‘Loya Jirga’, on Wednesday expressed hope the Taliban would appreciate recommendations for peace by this grand consultative session.
He said the Loya Jirga has executed at least 45 per cent of its tasks, and efforts have expedited to form administrative board and working groups. Daudzai said the consultative session is proceeding in line with a timetable.
According to the chief organizer, the Loya Jirga participants have begun consultations in 51 sub-committees over contours of the peace process, which would be shared with the grand assembly in the later stage. He acknowledged the administrative board was elected with a delay.
Daudzai said the Loya Jirga might be extended for a half or a full day.
