In an exclusive interview, Wesa told Salam Watandar that he was helped by the local elders in Kandahar to re-open the closed schools. He also toured a number of neighboring provinces for this very cause after establishing a foundation “De Qalam Laar” (Way of Pen).
Recently, Wesa has launched a social media campaign to collect books for the students. In the first four months, he said, “Way of Pen” has been gifted with 24000 books from volunteers. He added that his foundation has a volunteer in provinces that coordinate the drive.
