KUNAR (SW): Kunar Police spokesman confirmed that cross-border shelling is continuing from Pakistan over the Durand Line in the eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan.

Security officials in Kunar said that Pakistani military has fired 150 rockets on five districts of Kunar province yesterday (Monday).

Pakistani rockets fired at Dangam, Asmar, Sheltan, Morawar, and Khas districts of Kunar, but fortunately, no causalities were reported, Farid Dehqan, spokesman for the Kunar Police headquarter, said in a telephone interview with Salam Watandar.

A resident of Morwar district, who didn’t want to be named, told Salam Watandar that three days ago, Pakistani troops launched their cross-border shelling on Kunar and this still continues. According to him, there have been no casualties.

The Pakistani military has resumed their rocket attacks on Afghanistan on Saturday after it stopped for a while; however, their motive is not yet clear.
