Open Services, a bridge between people and the local government

HELMAND (SW): A program called the ‘open services’ has been created in Helmand to solve people’s problems, and currently 4 advisors have been working in this program in the center of Helmand, and ‘Girishk’ district.

These advisors have been guiding people on how to proceed with their work in the government offices and the people have also been sharing their problems with them and have been seeking their advice and support.

Hayatullah Hayat, the governor of Helmand told Salam Watandar that the program will reduce corruption and will solve the people’s issues. “We set up the program for the purpose of enhancing our services, solving people’s problems and bringing people closer to the local authorities”, he added.

The governor of Helmand further added that with the implementation of this program, citizen’s issues will be resolved sooner and the hurdle of administrative processes will be reduced.

Attaullah Afghan, head of Helmand Provincial Council, hailed the launch of this program and said: “people have faced many problems so far, however with the creation of this program, the administrative process will be easy”.

The open service program has been launched in Helmand where the residents of this province have been complaining about the government services for several years, yet with the launch of this program, the local government announced that the people’s issues will be solved.
