KABUL (SW): For young Shukria Sultani, the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF)’s rich online library is all she wanted to inspire her for higher studies.
The AUAF has been serving as one of the premier academic institutions in the private sector in Afghanistan for the past many years. In conversation with Salam Watandar, Sultani said she is quite content with the professional faculty members and immaculate academic system at the AUAF. She is third year student at the faculty of Business and Administration.
Prior to joining the AUAF, she studied English language at the Kabul University which enabled her to qualify for the scholarship offered by the American Embassy in Afghanistan. “The American University of Afghanistan particularly offers ideal environment for female students who otherwise face harassment in other places”, she said. She also praised the University for taking care of students’ post-education life by helping them seek internships and jobs.
Pointing to the last year’s terrorist attack on the AUAF, Shukria Sultani stressed such attacks cannot stop the eager students from seeking knowledge and wisdom in Afghanistan
