Children’s song book launched in Kabul

KABUL (SW): Save the Children and Afghanistan National Music Institute (ANMI) have published children’s ‘song book’ here in Kabul.

The children’s song book consists of poems by Alam Gul Sahar, Sameh Hamid, Noor Gul Shafaq, and Dibaj and other poets which are made into songs by the ANMI.

Ahmad Nasir Sarmast, the director of ANMI, said on the occasion that the book has a positive message to all the children of the country.

Rula Ghani, first lady of the country, at the event of the book launch said that publication of such books help culture building an in a nation.

David Skinner, the country director for Save the Children, about the children’s song book said that the book is an inspiration for peace, civil rights, and education.

According to the ANMI officials, so far 6 thousand copies of the book are distributed in schools and the institute is trying to distribute them to remotest areas of the country.
