SAR-I-PUL (SW): After a day, the Taliban insurgents have reclaimed the Mirza Olang village from the security forces.
A reliable source in the local government of Sar-i-Pul, who did not want to be named, says that the village of Mirza Olang village of Sayad district has fallen into the hands of the Taliban overnight.
According to the source, the Taliban insurgents by attacking collectively on Tuesday night captured an administrative office and several military outposts in the village.
The Taliban also in a statement, has claimed the fall of the village back to the group.
In less than two weeks, this is the second time that the Mirza Olang village of Sayad district falls in the hands of the Taliban.
Mirza Olang was overrun by the Taliban insurgents in the beginning of August, after 13 days, the security forces by launching military operations retook the center of the village.
