URUZGAN (SW): Abdul Karim Khadezai, Chairman of Uruzgan Provincial Council, told Salam Watandar that ISIS and other terrorist groups have begun their recruitment in Trinkot, Center of Uruzgan and districts of Charchino, and Khas Uruzgan.
According to Khademzai, some reports from other districts of Uruzgan have also shown to them that a number of foriegn terrorist groups, in cooperation with Taliban commanders, were preparing for awar against the government.
A number of displaced people who came from insecure districts of Uruzgan to Kandahar also said that in addition to the Taliban, they have seen people with black flags, covered faces in Uruzgan as well.
They wanted the government to clean up their areas from insurgents and provide their safe return back.
Abdul Wahid Pathan, deputy governor of Uruzgan, said that there were reports that a number of foreign groups have begun to operate in the areas under the control of Taliban. He informed that an investigation have begun on this issue.
However, a statement was recently made about the presence of Russian citizens among the Taliban in Uruzgan province, which was rejected by the local authorities of this province.
