HERAT CITY (SW): Officials at the Herat Hospital said that a girl has been beheaded and another has committed suicide over the past 24 hours in Herat.
Mohammad Rafiq Shirzai, Head of the hospital, told Salam Watandar that the dead body of a 20 years old girl has been shifted from Pashtun Pul area in the Herat City to the hospital.
He said that the girl has been beheaded and signs of strangulation is clear around her neck.
He added that the identity of the murdered girl is still unknown.
He further said that in a separate incident, an 18 years old girl called Najiba, committed suicide by hanging herself in Gulistan Road in Herat City.

According to Shirzai, the cause of her death has revealed as domestic violence.
Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, Spokesman for Police Chief in the province, said that they have not received any reports on the incidents so far.
This has been the third incident of the sort over the past week in Herat.
A week ago a woman committed suicide in Guzra district in the province.
