KABUL (SW) – A source at the Ministry of Finance, who did not want to be identified, told Salam Watander two deputy ministers have resigned from their posts here.
According to the source, Waleed Tamim, deputy minister for customs, and Zahid Hamdard, deputy minister for financial affairs, have resigned from their posts.
Although, the source did not elaborate on the causes of the two men's resignation, but it is said that President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani had repeatedly criticized their inability at the MoFA.
Zahid Hamdard was appointed head of financial affairs last year, and Waleed Tamim was appointed chief of the revenue and customs department this year.
