KABUL (SW): Turkey will build the first international women’s university in Afghanistan.
Arifa Paikar, spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, said today at a press conference in Kabul that the agreement to build the Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan University will be signed with the government of Turkey soon.
This university will be built on a 92-acre of land in Kabul which will have the departments of medicine, social sciences and natural sciences.
According to the MoE spokesperson, an online library will also be built at Kabul University over the next three months which will have the capacity to house 10 million books and magazines.
The Afghan government also plans to build the third largest Islamic university in Afghanistan. This university is being built in Nangarhar, however, the construction work has not been completed yet.
