KABUL (SW): The leadership of the High Peace Council (HPC) said there are no conditions for Taliban to join the peace process and they are ready to accept any mechanism in which the Taliban are willing to talk to them.
According to the leadership of the High Peace Council, a unity on bringing peace to Afghanistan has been established by the region and the international community, with the exception of Pakistan.
Karim Khalili, chairman of the High Peace Council, said they are ready to talk to the anti-government forces and have expanded their efforts inside and outside the country.
Mr. Khalili, referring to his trip to Indonesia, said the Indonesian government and its citizens have announced their readiness in bringing peace in Afghanistan.
Mohammad Akram Khaplawak, Secretariat Chief of the HPC, told the Taliban and other anti-government forces, that whatever option they choose for peace talks, the government of Afghanistan is willing to sit with them around a table and talk.
Earlier, a number of members of the National Assembly, politicians and civil society activists criticized the work of the High Peace Council and called the task of this council pointless and waste of time.
