KABUL (SW) – The Taliban rebels have uprooted the Paktika – Ghazni highway in the Arzo area of Ghazni city.
Mohammad Asif Zaheen, director public works in Ghazni, told Salam Watandar the Taliban rebels have completely damaged the main highway by running trackers over it. He said due to the Taliban’s strong presence in this area, they have been unable to send technical teams to the area to fix the highway.
Abdul Jame, member of the provincial council, said the rebels deliberately damaged this road to inflict military and economic losses. He said the general public are also suffering due to this move by the Taliban.
