FARAH CITY (SW) – The Taliban insurgents have taken away at least 27 members of the Peoples’ Peace Convoy with them, the group said on Wednesday.
Bismillah Watandost, spokesman for the PPC, told Salam Watandar the incident took place in the Farah city a day earlier. He added the peace convoy members were part of a six-car convoy that was taken away by the Taliban from Farah city on Tuesday evening.
Watandost said contacts with the abducted peace marchers could not be establish to find out about their status and whereabouts.
The Taliban have not commented on the matter so far.
