KUNDUZ CITY (SW): Well-placed security source has told Salam Watandar a U.S drone attack has killed the Taliban’s shadow deputy governor and 7 Tajikistani insurgents in Kunduz province.
According to the source, the attack took place at noon on Friday at Mullah Qoli area of Kulbat district on a Taliban hideout in the province. The source further said Mulllah Assadullah Mazloom, the shadow deputy governor for Kunduz, and his 4 fellows together with Qari Sayeed, a Taliban Commander from Takhar province, and his 9 fellows, two instructors for suicide and landmine attacks, and 7 Tajikistani insurgents have been killed in the drone attack. “Two foreign women were also killed by the drone attack whose identity is not known yet”, added the source.
Meanwhile, Nasiruddin Sayidi, chief of Dasht-i- Archi district in Kunduz province, has confirmed the news. He said the U.S drone attack hit an area under the Taliban control. But, the Taliban have rejected the news. Zabiullah Mujahid, Taliban spokesman, has said when the attack happened no high ranking Taliban leaders were present.
