LASHKARGAH (SW): Taliban insurgents overrun a police check point in Nawa district of Helmand province, killing 6 policemen on Tuesday night.
According to local authorities, the incident took place in Chil-o-Dopar Chawi area of Nawa district.
Aqa Mohammad Takra, the chief of Nawa district, told Salam Watandar that the attack by the Taliban insurgents killed 6 policemen, injuring 3 and 3 more are missing. “If the security forces do not clear the district from the insurgents, the Taliban will attack other parts of the district as well”, warned Takra.
Taliban has claimed in a statement to media that the Taliban killed 13 policemen in Chil-Dopar Chawi area of Nawa district and looted their military equipment.
