KUNDUZ (SW) – The Taliban have killed at least eight members of the Afghan Local Police in Kunduz province, sources confirmed.
A well-placed source told Salam Watandar that the incident took place in the Dasht-e-Archi district’s Bandar Khwaja Ghaar area. The source said the Taliban took away one ALP man with them.
However, the Kunduz governor’s spokesman, Esmatullah Muradi told Salam Watandar that only six policemen have been killed and a number of insurgents have also been killed.
There has been significant surge in violence in Kunduz province recently.
