KUNDUZ (SW) – Local officials in Kunduz have confirmed that at least 11 policemen were killed in a Taliban attack last night in Imam Saheb district.
Safiullah Amiri, deputy head of the Kunduz Provincial Council, said the Taliban attacked a number of villages in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz last night, killing 11 policemen.
According to him, five policemen and three Taliban were wounded in the attack.
Kunduz Governor spokesman, Ismatullah Moradi said the casualties had been inflicted on both sides, but no exact statistics were available.
Taliban also claim in a statement that 14 policemen were killed and four others were wounded in the incident.
