
KABUL (SW) – At least 14 rockets were fired in various parts of Kabul leaving at least ten people injured during the 101st Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday.
In a statement, Tariq Arian, spokesman for the interior ministry, said the rockers hit residential parts in 2nd, 9th, 10th and 16th police districts of Kabul city. He added a total of 10 people, including women and children, got injured in these attacks.
He said the rockers were fired from two cars at different locations, and the two man have been taken into custody in this connection.
This came as President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and other top officials were present at the defense ministry to mark the 101st Independence Day celebrations.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
